keeps going, and going, and...
Kelly Cheng was another friend from my Berkeley SPC tutoring days.
I was a semi-regular lurker on Kelly's forum a while ago. Then, I started getting headaches reading it because the conversation never moved anywhere. Really, I tried my best to post some reasonable logic when I got really agitated, but that didn't seem to help (I think I just upset the natives).
Talk usually went something like this:
A: Girls are bad and do stupid things and blahblahblah rantrant.
D: Hey, no they're not they're OK.
A: No, you're wrong, girls are bad and do stupid things and blahblahblah rantrant.
Today, I dusted off an old link to his page, and... lo' and behold... it's still the same. Someone find Kelly a girl already!
I've wandered onto his page before in the past, so I know what you're talking about. But I think it's better now. I think it's just a coincidence that you looked at it and the 1st rant was about girls. But if you look at the rest of the month and last month's rants, it's not just girls girls girls. The forum seems to have quieted down a bit too.
Maybe I jumped the gatling: it does seem like some non-aggravating posts/rants have been up before "nice guys."
Hey, Carol, I didn't know you used his page for a playground piece. If you can, you should find a place to get your scripts online. If you do, I'd recommend licensing your work under the Creative Commons License (I've been meaning to choose one for my website, but haven't gotten around to actually doing it yet).
Back to the matter: I'll lurk around Kelly's page for a bit again--after all, it's always great to read up on how friends are doing! We'll see how the noise is around there.
Oh yeah, that was the one they produced that summer. It's about a kid who has a web site and has issues with girls. I mean I embelished, like he had some HUGE following. But it was Chris in many ways.
I have posted some of my scripts on my blog, I will have to look into Creative Commons you mention here.
I remember reading some of your stuff from way back; not really much recently. OK, I'll make a change of that shortly.
I wish LiveJournal had a search function for the archives!
